Sofia grew up as a healthy and happy child. But at the age of 6, she received a terrible diagnosis that divided her life into before and after – type 1 diabetes, insulin-dependent. Everything changed: food, activity, pain, and even sleep. Sofia had to grow up quickly – at six years old, she measures her blood sugar and injects insulin herself. The girl already knows how to hurt herself for the sake of her health, because she has to prick her fingers up to 10 times a day, before and after meals, at night and during the day, in the morning and in the evening. The same goes for insulin injections: constant pricks in the stomach, arms, and legs, at least five injections a day.

The child is active, attends clubs, and excels at school. Sofia wants to go to her friends' parties and enjoy walks, but diabetes does not allow her to do so. To improve the child's quality of life and reduce her pain, sensors for continuous glucose monitoring are essential. The device allows you to monitor glucose levels without painful finger pricks and sleepless nights. The child will be able to live a full life and reduce the risk of complications associated with diabetes, although she already has some of them. Unfortunately, such sensors are an unaffordable luxury for the family. Help Sofia have a bright and fulfilling childhood!
