Adriana was born in February 2022. Since birth, her life has been accompanied by difficult trials. Immediately after giving birth, doctors diagnosed the girl with hydrocephalus, an accumulation of fluid in the brain. Later, this diagnosis changed to microcephaly, a condition in which the skull and brain are smaller than those of a healthy child.

The first months of her life passed with hope: doctors hoped that Adriana's development would gradually catch up to the norm. But when the girl turned one, she still could not sit or crawl on her own. After an MRI, doctors confirmed a congenital brain defect. Several other serious disorders were added to this diagnosis: spastic tetraparesis, delayed speech and mental development, as well as flexion-adduction contractures of the arms and legs, which limit mobility.

Despite all the difficulties, Adriana is an extremely strong and cheerful girl. She is now 3 years old, and the rehabilitation courses she has undergone have borne fruit.

"My daughter has undergone a course of treatment, and I already notice improvements in her movements and her concentration when she is doing something. Adriana is also trying to speak more, has started to sit better on her own, and has improved her balance," says Karina, the girl's mother.
