When she was born, Mariyka wasn't breathing and weighed less than a kilo, so she ended up in intensive care at first, followed by long months at OKHMATDYT. At the age of one, the girl was given a terrible diagnosis – cerebral palsy. But despite the difficult diagnosis, Mariyka became a real athlete, loved by spectators at competitions. Her zest for life is impressive!

Today, Mariyka is 12 years old. She is a smiling, bright, and extremely strong girl. Thanks to her daily struggle and perseverance in rehabilitation centers, the girl took her first steps at the age of 3, and at the age of 9, she received her second junior swimming rank.

Each rehabilitation brings new victories: Mariyka's movements are becoming freer, her gait more confident, and she is learning to keep her balance. But in order for this progress to continue, the girl needs a new course of treatment at a rehabilitation center.
