Help Kharkiv Zoo!

The opening of the Kharkiv Zoo after reconstruction took place just a few months before the war, and it was supposed to be the safest and most comfortable place for animals, but the war happened, and now the poor animals are waiting for our help and care.

Kharkiv Zoo was opened in 1895 and is the oldest zoo in Ukraine and one of the best in Europe. Nowadays, the inhabitants of the zoo are 253 mammals, 369 birds, 144 amphibians and reptiles. Moreover, the zoo accepted another 28 animals from the Feldman Ecopark, which was destroyed due to the war.

To feed all the animals for one day, the zoo needs about 120 kg of cereals, 200 kg of vegetables, 100 kg of fruit, 200 kg of meat, 60 kg of fish, more than 100 eggs and 15 kg of cereals. Thanks to this project, we will be able to provide animals with food for a week. Zookeepers do everything possible and impossible to feed and protect the animals. But, unfortunately, they cannot cope on their own, and today, more than ever, they really need help!

"Our wolves can now howl like an alarm siren and our hearts are bursting with pain. When we look into the eyes of our animals, we see fear and sadness in them!", zoo workers say with pain.

The oldest zoo in Ukraine is suffering today from the bombing!
