Six years ago, when little Maksym was born, no one even thought that the child would be practically blind. He grew up, played, and his parents could not even assume that he was simply very good at navigating space. But the boy began to squint and look very closely at everything. And then the parents started to worry. And later, the doctors announced a terrible diagnosis to the parents.

Maksym has congenital cataracts in both eyes, astigmatism, and obscuration amblyopia. He sees only 18%. His world is blurred and unclear. And the further, the worse the vision becomes.

But, in spite of severe vision problems, he, like other children, tries to write, read, draw and study the world around him.

Surgery to replace the lenses of the eyes can improve the situation. But Maksym's mother is unable to purchase lenses and other materials for the operation. That is why she is asking for our help.
