Help to recover from the fire

The fire burned vital things for Vlad: medical equipment, which is indispensable. Luckily, the family was not at home when trouble came to the small village where was their house. And at the same time it was a huge blow: the family was going to settle down there with the children for a few months, so they moved all the things that might be needed in the next six months. Everything burned down. 

We are raising funds now to re-order the most important things for Vlad: 

- oxygen concentrator, 
- electric power generator (there are frequent shutdowns in the village where the family lives now, and the medical procedures cannot be  prostponed, the connection of the oxygen device - especially), 
- portable compressor inhaler, 
- stock of consumables (nebulizers, breathing tubes, filters) to the inhaler. 

From birth, the boy lives with a severe genetic disease cystic fibrosis. It has a negative impact on the whole body, disrupting the work of all the major internal organs and systems. It is possible to restrain its harmful effect only thanks to the daily complex therapy. Special  exercises and medication accompany a person with cystic fibrosis all the life. 

One of the features of cystic fibrosis is that the patient becomes more vulnerable to infections, and overcomes them more slowly and  harder than a generally healthy person. So it is better to prevent than to treat.  Therefore,  Vlad needs additional vaccinations  that  are not included in the Ukrainian national calendar and are not provided at the expense of the budget – from  pneumococcal  and meningococcal infection.
