Help Vanya cope with Crohn's disease

Until the age of nine, Ivan was an ordinary healthy boy. In 2021, his health began to deteriorate. Vanya was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at the Rudnev Centre in Dnipro.

In accordance with the agreement No. 21 on cooperation between the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace and the Charity Operator POMAGAEM dated 31.08.2020 and the additional agreement No. 21.293 dated 27.11.2024, the project "Help Vanya cope with Crohn's disease" was posted on the UMB website - dobro.ua - to attract donations to pay for the treatment of Ivan Shymansky.

During the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange - dobro.ua - to purchase special food for the boy. So, according to the letter №763 dated 12.12.2024, we received the collected UAH 4 340.00 (four thousand three hundred and forty hryvnias and 00 kopecks) to the account of the Foundation and continued to collect on the dobro.ua platform.

In December 2024, we spent all the funds transferred to pay for special food for Ivan in the amount of UAH 4 340.00 (four thousand three hundred and forty hryvnias and 00 kopecks).

Vanya's condition is now satisfactory. He feels fine, but sometimes gets tired quickly. He takes medication on a regular basis: Mesalazine, Metoject injections, Folic Acid, Creon and Resource Junior special food.

Ivan is currently enrolled in a distance learning programme. He is doing well in his studies. His grades are 9-12 on a 12-point scale; his hobbies are computer games and Lego construction. He has recently taken up chess again. He plays with his cousins. He goes outside regularly, but not very often because of the weather conditions.

In March, he plans to undergo another medical examination to check his blood count.

Vanya misses the company of his peers because of the weather and distance learning.

So far, all the funds transferred from the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace have been spent on the guy's needs, and the project is still raising funds.
