Help Vanya cope with Crohn's disease

      Until the age of nine, Ivan was a normal, healthy boy. But in 2021, his health began to deteriorate. At the Rudnev Centre in Dnipro, Ivan was diagnosed with Crohn's disease.
In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange International Charitable Foundation and the charity aid operator POMAGAEM Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 293 dated 27 November 2024, the project ‘Help Vanya cope with Crohn's disease’ was posted on the website of the International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’ - dobro.ua , the project ‘Help Vanya cope with Crohn's disease’ was posted with the aim of attracting donations to pay for the treatment of Ivan Shymansky in the amount of UAH 63,362.00 (sixty-three thousand three hundred and sixty-two hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange International Charitable Foundation (UCCF) – dobro.ua – to purchase special food for the boy. Therefore, according to letter No. 763 dated 12 December 2024, we received the collected amount of 4,340.00 UAH (four thousand three hundred and forty hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued the collection on the dobro.ua platform. 
In December 2024, we spent all the transferred funds on paying for special food for Ivan in the amount of 4,340.00 UAH (four thousand three hundred and forty hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
In 2025, the boy's family again turned to us with a request to support Ivan with the necessary special food. Therefore, according to letters No. 177 dated 06.05.2025 and No. 494 dated 17.09.2025 we received 18,600.00 UAH (eighteen thousand six hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and 10,123.00 UAH (ten thousand one hundred twenty-three hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued fundraising on the dobro.ua platform.
In September 2025, we provided the boy with the necessary special food Resource Junior in the amount of 9,772.80 UAH (nine thousand seven hundred and seventy-two hryvnias, 80 kopecks).
When the entire amount needed to pay for Ivan's treatment was collected on two information platforms: the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation and the Pomagaem Charitable Foundation, we requested that the fundraiser be closed, the amount of the project on the Ukrainian Charity Exchange be reduced to the amount actually collected – 49,962.00 UAH (forty-nine thousand nine hundred and sixty-two hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and to transfer UAH 16,899.00 (sixteen thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to our current account to pay for the boy's treatment and project administration, in accordance with letter No. 592 dated 19 November 2025.
In November 2025, we purchased and delivered special food Resource Junior for Ivan for a total amount of 14,751.10 UAH (fourteen thousand seven hundred and fifty-one hryvnias, 10 kopecks), and also paid for the administration of the project.
In January, Ivan underwent another examination. We are currently awaiting the doctors' consultation report. The tests had to be repeated several times because the results from different laboratories differed. The results show high indicators, which indicate the presence of an inflammatory process. The gastroenterologist is currently studying the situation in detail. 
The course of liver treatment has already been completed. During the winter holidays, Ivan stayed at home because the weather was cold and wet, and the family decided to avoid the possible risk of illness. The boy stayed at home with his mother for New Year's. 
On 12 January, Ivan returned to school after the holidays and continued his studies in an individual format.
Currently, all funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have been spent on the child's needs.
