The road to the heart: prematurely born

Оn August 1, together with WOG filling stations, we begin a new wave of the charitable action "Road to the Heart: Prematurely Born." We need to collect 1 000 000 UAH, for which we will purchase medical equipment for the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Kyiv, as well as medical institutions that help premature babies in Odessa, the Dnieper, Chernivtsi and Kovel.During the promotion period at any WOG network, everyone can buy a drink in a special charity cup. The cost of such a cup is 2 UAH. The action will last until the sale of charity cups. All funds collected from their sale will be transferred to the purchase of equipment for preterm infants. The term "premature babies", which used to be ubiquitous, is now gradually being supplanted by the more ethical "prematurely born." These are children born during pregnancy from the 22nd to the 37th week with a body weight of 500-2500 g. Prematurely, almost always twins and triplets appear. In different countries, the proportion of preterm labor varies between 6-8%. In Ukraine, this indicator is about 5-6%.

1. For the GU "Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences":
Compressor to the ventilator – 67 thousand UAH (3 pcs.), the total cost of 200 thousand UAH.

2. For the Maternity hospital №1, Chernivtsi city:
Pulse oximeter RAD 8 (2 pcs.) – 41 300 UAH, the total cost of 82 600 UAH.
Phototherapy lamp NO-AF-LED (4 pcs.) for 30 thousand UAH, the total cost of 120 thousand UAH.

3. For the communal institution "Dnipropetrovsk regional perinatal center with a hospital" Dnipropetrovsk regional council, Dnipro:
Laminar cabinet – 190 thousand UAH.
Manipulation table – 10 thousand UAH.

4. For the Odessa regional children's clinical hospital:
Syringe dosimeter SN- 50C66 (4 pcs.) for 16 900 UAH – the total cost of 67 600 UAH.
Two-channel syringe dispenser SN-50F66 (4 pcs.) for 33 thousand UAH, the total cost of 132 thousand UAH.

5. For the Kovel regional territorial medical association, Kovel:

"The road to the heart" ended in February 2018. This time it was possible to raise UAH 1,040,000. Already in May, we transferred to the Amosov Institute and hospitals in the Volyn region some equipment that now saves small hearts.
