Eco-program "A Second Life To Your Clothes"

There is no state program in Ukraine that would oblige to sort garbage. However, the country is drowning in waste: about 95% of waste ends up in landfills, and only 5% goes to recycling. Today, sorting is very important for Ukraine. In order not to throw clothes to the trash, we are looking for alternative ways. Therefore, in February 2020 together with METRO Cash & Carry, our organization created a collection point for used items and launched an "Eco-program "A Second Life To Your Clothes ". 2 special containers of METRO Cash & Carry are located on the territory of their parking lot in Kyiv at 43, Hryhorenko Ave.

We take the collected items to the Foundation using our transport, sort them, and provide assistance to the clients of the Charity Foundation “Aspern”: children and youth, mothers with children and families who live with us and whom we take care of. We also change things to fit for our own use, for the Sewing workshop, make carpets and other things. Delivery Company with understanding and responsibility supports the idea of ​​the Eco-program and transports assistance to families in need throughout Ukraine.

Thus, the Eco-program "A Second Life To Your Clothes" instills a culture of conscious consumption, reuse of things and preservation of the ecosystem in Darnytsky District.

Today, the Eco-program "A Second Life To Your Clothes" needs financial support to pay the project manager, driver, sorter, pay for fuel, purchase of auxiliary materials (packages, disinfectants).
