A worthy holiday for the elderly

Caritas-Khmelnytskyi UGCC does not leave the most vulnerable categories without support, namely people with group I disabilities and lonely elderly people. Every day the employees of our charitable organization communicate with lonely and frail elderly people who survive on meager incomes and who, due to various circumstances, are unable to buy even bread, not to mention meat, dairy products and sweets. Today, in the midst of a full-scale war, they are below the poverty line, left alone with their problems. They have become hostages of the situation and are forced to endure hunger and deprivation.

On the eve of the Holy Resurrection of Christ, we plan to distribute 100 packages to those in need to help the elderly and give them at least a little peace and joy for the Easter holiday. Therefore, in 2024, Caritas-Khmelnytskyi will once again initiate an annual fundraiser for holiday food packages. The gift will include: Easter cake, meat, dairy products, sweets, eggs, canned food, cereals, etc. 

Lent is a good time to help your neighbor. We are organizing this campaign to support those in need who cannot afford to buy food for their holiday baskets. That is why, dear philanthropists, like-minded people and just good people, today we would like to ask you to help create a holiday for those families who do not have the financial means to set a festive table and joyfully celebrate the brightest day in the calendar of every Christian. Each hryvnia is a ray of your heart for those who are waiting for the holiday.
