Hungry old age. 3

For 17 years, our foundation, Caritas HOBF, has been trying to do everything so that people who are in critical life situations feel dignified, believe that their life can get better. It is sad and painful to see every day the despair of these lonely, elderly people, the extreme poverty in which they somehow have to survive for a penny, for which it is difficult to buy at least something so as not to die starvation. We are talking about such a level of poverty when you have to choose whether to buy bread or essential medicines for the last money when you pay for utilities and you have to eat almost nothing until you receive your next pension.

These people are forgotten by everyone and left to survive. Each of them has its own life story and its own pile of problems. But all of them are united by one circumstance – the indifference and the lack of near and dear ones whose help they could count on. Pension reform, reduction of benefits and increase of tariffs for utility payments drove lonely feeble old people to a dead end.

That is why we turn to you, for everyone who will read this text for help. We sincerely ask you to help to collect funds for purchasing food for the elderly. After all, nutrition for our wards is the only way to get a full tasty food, gives strength; feel caring and kindness, and also feel like a full-fledged person. They say that when you take it, you fill your hand, when you give it, you fill your heart. Let's fill our hearts together to help and make life easier for those in distress. We are one with whom they can put their hope! Even the smallest victim can do a great job!
