I fight for every little success

Bohdan was diagnosed before he was born – at the end of the 7th month of pregnancy, during an ultrasound, the boy's mother was shocked: the child had hydrocephalus. After 2 weeks, the diagnosis was confirmed by MRI. The mother could not believe it until the last moment, because the baby was spinning and kicking in the tummy.

Bohdan was born by cesarean section, he breathed on his own. But the boy was immediately transferred to the Romadanov Institute of Neurosurgery. Bohdan was treated for almost a year: during this time, he underwent 3 surgeries and a shunt was installed. At the age of 9 months, the boy began to undergo rehabilitation. Although the doctors gave him no chances, he fought for every little success.

At the age of 10 months, Bohdan began to hold his head, suck and babble better. But, unfortunately, with the outbreak of full-scale war, the boy developed epi-activity and severe seizures. Bohdan underwent treatment and was prescribed the right medication. Now the boy is 8 years old, he has a congenital brain defect, congenital hydrocephalus, Arnold Chiari anomaly, developmental delay and epilepsy. He already sits, chews, stands with the support of adults, sings, points to what he wants, holds a bottle by himself and is very fond of children.
