I want to smile again
Little Maksym and his family survived the occupation and all the horrors of the war. The war met the family in the village of the Kherson region, it was loud and scary there: constant sirens and explosions, food and medicine were running out, there were interruptions in electricity and water supply. Mom had never seen Maksym so frightened, his legs began to shake from fear.
7-year-old Maksym has cerebral palsy and delayed speech and physical development, he is shown regular classes, including at home. However, due to the stressful state, there was no talk of any classes – the boy simply dropped his hands. And when the vital anticonvulsant drug, which Maksym must constantly take, began to run out, the family made the difficult decision to break through to the Ukrainian checkpoints. The road was dangerous as they passed burnt vehicles and rockets sticking out of the ground, the mother simply covered her son's eyes with her hands. The rest of the cars from the village were no longer able to leave.
Now Maksym and his family are in Kyiv. Due to stress and lack of rehabilitation, his condition deteriorated greatly. Almost everything that the boy has worked out has come to naught. Therefore, now he needs to start a course of therapy in the capital's rehabilitation center. We really want to support Maksym, because lately he has gone through too much. We will help him get into rehabilitation, we will make Maxim start smiling again and enjoy life like a child!
