Yaroslav is now 8 years old, and although he cannot speak, he understands spoken language much better. The boy was born with a brain hemorrhage. It was difficult, but gradually the child recovered. However, at 10 months old, Yaroslav contracted a virus and began to lose his speech, his ability to understand spoken language, and he stopped looking people in the eyes. The boy began to have tantrums and frequent headaches. His mother never gave up, taking her son to doctors, geneticists, and metabolists; she took him to classes with speech therapists and neuropedagogues as long as a single mother could afford it. Gradually, Yaroslav began to understand speech better, but when he was 5 years old, tragedy struck the family again – the boy developed diabetes. Since then, Yaroslav and his mother have faced a new challenge, which they are overcoming together.
Yaroslav started school in an inclusive class. His mother is always by his side, acting as his assistant. The boy enjoys being with other children. Yaroslav tries very hard to acquire new knowledge and skills. Yes, it is difficult for him, but his mother's support and the help of all caring people give hope for the child's further successful development.
Now his mother does not have enough money to buy sensors to monitor her son's blood sugar levels. She is asking all caring people for help so that she does not have to prick his little fingers so often, fingers with which Yaroslav is so diligently learning to write.
