Three years ago, in June, the life of Ivan and his family changed completely. The boy was 7 years old when doctors diagnosed him with diabetes. Since then, his life has been continuously connected with constant monitoring of sugar levels and glucose measurements. Vania has to take insulin injections up to eight times a day. He can't eat anything without insulin, because his blood sugar level will rise. So he has to inject.
The boy himself is not yet mentally ready to inject himself, so his mother helps him. Of course, with such a lifestyle, his mother has to be with him all the time, and therefore she is unable to work. Ivan has labile diabetes, so his sugar levels can drop below normal, which can lead to extremely serious consequences. This feature of diabetes accelerates the development of chronic complications. Therefore, diabetes compensation is vital for Vania. Unfortunately, childhood diabetes is quite unstable. But modern medicine is progressing, and to prevent hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia and respond to it in time, it helps to install a blood sugar monitoring sensor. However, these devices are too expensive for an average family to afford.
Vania lives in the frontline zone in Kharkiv region. He is a good student and pays more attention and time to programming. It is difficult for his parents to finance his treatment, as his job is difficult, and his mother is chained to her son. The woman asks for help because her parents cannot cope with all the expenses, including the purchase of sensors.
