Kinesiotherapy cabin to help children

In Odessa and Odessa region, thousands of children with incurable diseases require psychological, social and medical assistance, including physical rehabilitation. To help these children and their families, in May 2020, the mobile palliative help brigade which specializes in providing help for children began working at the children's polyclinic. This team will provide assistance at home, as well as treatment and rehabilitation for children in the clinic itself completely free of charge. There is one problem left to solve: the lack of a basic rehabilitation equipment in the palliative department which young patients need a lot. We need to purchase a kinesiotherapy cabin so that it becomes possible to assemble a rehabilitation room for children.

At present, many child patients of the palliative department with conditions such as are waiting for regular exercise therapy and kinesiotherapy classes at the polyclinic which will be highly beneficial to managing conditions such as cerebral palsy, congenital neuromuscular diseases, consequences of traumatic brain injuries, fractures and sports injuries.

These children are in dire need of a rehabilitation cabin for kinesiotherapy classes. This cabin is versatile and it has a various suspension systems. It can provide children with the correct loads of the musculoskeletal system to restore movement, normalise muscle tone and increase their strength, improve balance and develop coordination of movements. The cabin will equipped with various suspension systems of different sizes.

Being able to move means having enough strength, and for children with disabilities it also means having no more pain on an everyday basis but the ability to walk afterwards. By helping to purchase a cabin, you are helping to provide children with disabilities with a better future. Many of them can learn to walk or stop feeling pain thanks to these pieces of equipment.
