Zhenia from Kharkiv needs nutrition

      Zhenya was born at 32 weeks of pregnancy, weighing only 1,740 g. She spent the first four months of her life in intensive care. Seizures began when she was one month old, but epilepsy was only diagnosed six months later after examination at the Regional Perinatal Centre. 
      In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange and the charity operator POMAGAEM Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 326 dated 29 July 2025, the project ‘Zhenya from Kharkiv needs food’ was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of attracting donations to pay for the treatment of Yevgeniya Lepeta.
      During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation (dobro.ua) to purchase special food for the girl. Therefore, according to letter No. 402 dated 05.08.2025, we received the collected amount of 10,400.00 UAH (ten thousand four hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued the collection on the dobro.ua platform. 
      In August of this year, we purchased special food for Yevheniia in the amount of 10,400.00 UAH (ten thousand four hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
      Yevheniia is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Zadzerkalia Centre. At present, the main focus is on sensory integration, which is necessary to improve the functioning of the musculoskeletal system and consolidate the skills and movements already acquired.
      Once a week, Zhenya also works with a speech therapist, including speech therapy massage. Thanks to this, the specialist is trying to activate the movements of the tongue, because it is very weak and not yet controllable. But there is also good news: the child began to "sound" and pronounce the consonants "d", "t". This result is observed in the child for the first time.

      Zhenya continues to work and believes in further success.

      Currently, all the funds that were transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have been spent on the girl's needs, the project is still collecting funds.
