Disease gives courage. Stage 2

When Liudmyla contacted us first and we learned the story of her 5-year struggle for life - our passion for this brave woman was limitless. Liudmyla really is an example to others with the same diagnosis. Her huge thirst for life inspires, and so we were able to quickly raise funds for the necessary medicines to pass the previous chemotherapy. Now she has to go through CT and to prepare for another "chemo", so fundraising renewed.

It started in 2009 with the diagnosis of uterine cancer and lasts for long five years. It reminds of an awful nightmare, which has to end sooner or later. Everything possible is being done, but diagnoses follow one another, two surgeries had been done but the chemotherapy goes on.

This woman has heard many verdicts of doctors that she is not a tenant, that maximum two months are left, or three days, or less than a year, but she is living against all diseases and to the delight of her family, friends and especially the grandchildren!

Now she is in constant need of expensive drugs to inhibit the growth of metastases and there is a good result, while the financial resources have already gone dry over 5 years...

After the diagnosis of uterine cancer in 2009, it was followed by its removal surgery, then Onco-accounting in the clinic. It was all done according to the schedule during two years. Suddenly the shoulder hurt, it became hard to breathe. X-rays showed a huge, full picture spot in the right lung. The verdict – lung sarcoma of 4th stage. It was a shock!

The doctors did not even want to take the analysis. She was proposed to prepare to death. But begin with the red chemicals. And still a hope for miracle! Her friends sent out the disc with the x-ray pictures to all the clinic of Israel, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kyiv, – everyone said the surgery is not possible.

And then a sudden call – "Please, come, i think that surgery can be done". In May of 2012 the surgery for Lyudmila was done in Kiev for the first time. The tumor 1,5 kilograms of weight was removed! In three months followed another surgery – on the left lung, the removal of metastases. In four months - another, third, operation - on the right lung again. It is so difficult! But the disease makes one brave. She wants to live so much. The quality of life decreased of course, but still it is possible to live.

"So many beloved people wanted me to live, how could I not live up to their hopes? I tried my best. Every three months - another computer tomography", – says Lyudmila breathy. The multiple metastases had grown. She was told that she would live for maximum a month or two. That there is no more hope. But she is still alive! She had all those oncological pains. She's been in Hospice... And there, in Hospice, Lyudmila was offered to try another chemical drug to stop the growth of metastases. She was transferred to the department of chemotherapy and she started to receive the treatment. How many more of these chemicals? No one knows. It all depends on the reaction of the disease. But the financial resources of her family and friends, who have been helping her, have gone dry long time ago. Lyudmila is a pensioner, and the drugs are very expensive. She is very thankful to all who had been helping all these years. Now Lyudmila's life is in your hands! The will to live does not depend on age!

"I have always been very active. I love flowers, dogs, cats. I love nature! I love my friends! The disease is given for the spiritual growth, while life is given for the maximum merging with nature! I want to decorate our Earth flowers, trees and make it even more beautiful. I can do it, i am able.

My little grandchildren and my daughter need me and i need them! My dogs and cats will suffer without me, and the flowers will dry. I am ready for anything just to live longer! But i am in a lack of choice. And still i believe in a miracle! Let people know that if you can prevent death from cancer before the old age, if this scary game of cancer treatment can be made longer and longer, that will change our understanding of cancer, even such a result would be a technological victory! God is with us!" – this is Lyudmila's message to the world. And we are sure that she will overcome the disease with your help.
