Veronika's bitter story with diabetes began 7 years ago. In just a few days, she turned from a lively and energetic two-year-old into a lethargic and sickly child who was no longer interested in anything. Her parents immediately raised the alarm and turned to doctors. The diagnosis of type 1 diabetes sounded like a verdict, knocked the ground out from under their feet and completely changed the family's life.
The parents are constantly looking for new methods to ease the course of this disease, which is currently incurable. Veronika has now moved to the 4th grade of the Smyga Lyceum. She reads a lot, attends a dance class, loves to draw and read. This beautiful girl is very creative and imaginative, she is constantly engaged in needlework, fantasizing and writing her own book. In order not to stand out among her peers and to be able to attend school and clubs without parental supervision, Veronika was fitted with an insulin pump and round-the-clock blood glucose monitoring. This technology is unique and allows us to empower people with diabetes and make their lives fuller.
Thanks to the efforts of her parents, who put considerable financial and moral effort into compensating for her diabetes, the girl feels well and is no different from her peers. But the family no longer has enough money for the necessary treatment. The war and the difficult economic situation have affected Veronika's parents' ability to pay. So the girl's mother asks for help with her daughter's treatment.
