The project "Colors of emotions" was created to provide children, teenagers, and women with a safe space where they can restore their emotional well-being through various forms of art. Art therapy is one of the most universal and gentle methods of support, as it allows individuals to express their experiences without the need to verbalize them. This is especially important during wartime, when emotional strain and stress affect even the youngest members of society.
The project includes regular art therapy sessions held in the urban-type settlement of Ruzhyn in the Berdychiv district – at the Ruzhyn Wound Healing Center and the Central Public Library. During the sessions, participants engage in diverse techniques such as watercolor and acrylic painting, finger painting, clay modeling, appliqué, collage-making, and other creative methods aimed at reducing anxiety, strengthening self-regulation, and fostering emotional resilience.
The primary target groups are children (including children with special educational needs), teenagers, and women – particularly those from vulnerable categories such as internally displaced persons, mothers and wives of servicemen, and families in crisis. All sessions are provided free of charge.
"Colors of emotions" creates a space where creativity becomes a form of therapy and shared activity becomes a source of support. The project contributes to improving emotional well-being, strengthening internal resources, and forming a healthy, caring, and friendly environment within the community.
At dobro.ua, we raise funds to purchase materials and office equipment for creative work.
