KURAZH NOT ONLY JAZZ 2025: Cuba and Alaska
In September, Kyiv once again became a meeting place for music, cinema, education, and solidarity—on September 20–21, the KURAZH NOT ONLY JAZZ 2025 festival was held at the VDNG in the barrier-free performance pavilion “Kit.” This year's program combined the jazz scene with film screenings, exhibitions, lectures, and a market of Ukrainian brands, while also serving as a platform for an important charitable initiative.
The format of the event was conceived as a space for dialogue and action: music and art created an atmosphere in which public attention to the needs of defenders and medics could grow. The program included lectures and discussions with experts, including Dmytro Kuleba and Inna Gordeeva, who addressed topics such as security, international support, and the role of culture in mobilizing society. In addition to the cultural part, the festival featured charity locations and a market of Ukrainian brands; admission was free for military personnel, veterans, pensioners, and other privileged categories.
Part of the proceeds from the event were donated to the Veteranka charity fund. The main goal of the campaign is to raise funds to purchase specialized equipment for combat medics working in the hottest areas of the front line. The equipment will strengthen the capabilities of the Omega special forces unit of the Ukrainian National Guard and the 39th Separate Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which operate in critical areas, and will help save lives where every second counts.
Detailed information and procurement reports will be published in the Documentation and News sections of the project.
Combining culture and charity is a way to unite different communities around a common goal. KURAZH creates a platform where music inspires, cinema provokes thought, and concrete actions provide real help to those who save lives on the front lines. Supporting combat medics with modern equipment is an investment in the speed of evacuation, the safety of rescuers, and effective solutions that reduce casualties.
