Kurazh: Season Opening, 2026
On March 14–15, the season opening of Kurazh—Kyiv’s cultural and social event that has been bringing together music, art, a market, and a large community for over 10 years—took place at KITI in VDNG. These days, the Kurazh space once again brought together artists, theater and performances, lectures and cultural and social events, a flea market and a marketplace for Ukrainian brands, creative activities and workshops, as well as charitable initiatives. Importantly, the event traditionally maintained a focus on accessibility: the venue featured an accessible space and sign language interpretation.
Over the past 10 years, Kurazh has donated over 60 million UAH to social and charitable projects. This time, the charitable component of the event centered on fundraising for the charitable organization “Sternenko Community Foundation” for the “Shahidori” project.
Its goal is to protect Ukraine’s energy and civilian infrastructure. The project aims to equip units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces with modern interceptor drones capable of effectively repelling massive attacks by enemy “Shahed”-type UAVs and protecting civilian facilities, critical infrastructure, and the lives of Ukrainians.
Today, this is one of the most pressing needs for civilian Ukraine. Enemy kamikaze drones are attacking energy facilities, residential areas, and critical infrastructure. In a war where the entire country becomes the front line, protecting the skies is not just about defense, but also about keeping the lights on in homes, keeping hospitals running, ensuring the safety of cities, and saving lives.
The project involves the procurement of modern interceptor drones capable of destroying enemy “suicide drones” before they reach their targets. Every intercepted drone means a saved power substation, an undamaged home, and a life spared. It is a technological shield that helps Ukraine stand its ground—and protect the rear just as the front lines are defended.
The event partner is Visa. Everyone who purchased a ticket with a Visa card automatically participated in the charity project, as Visa will donate 100 UAH to charity.
