The doctor needs help

      Oleksandr Ivanovych devoted over 52 years to medicine. Working as a doctor in a village is different from working in a city. Oleksandr Ivanovych did not simply write prescriptions – he listened, offered support and gave hope. People turned to him for advice and help in their darkest hours.
      In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the charitable aid operator, the Charitable Foundation ‘POMAGAEM’, dated 31 August 2020, and  Supplementary Agreement No. 21.372 dated 15 May 2026, the project ‘A Doctor Needs Help’ was launched on the website  of the International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’ – dobro.ua – with the aim of raising donations to cover the cost of Oleksandr Kornilov’s treatment.
      During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ – dobro.ua – to purchase medicines for Oleksandr Ivanovych. Therefore, in accordance with letter No. 302 dated 8 July 2026, we received the raised sum of 37,818.00 UAH (thirty-seven thousand eight hundred and eighteen hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued the fundraising campaign on the dobro.ua platform.
      Thanks to the funds received, in July this year we purchased and delivered medicines to Oleksandr totalling 37,818.00 UAH (thirty-seven thousand eight hundred and eighteen hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
      The initial target amount for the project was 78,645.00 UAH (seventy-eight thousand six hundred and forty-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks). On 1 August 2026, to our great sorrow, Oleksandr Ivanovych passed away at home; his condition deteriorated sharply and his heart stopped. The illness proved to be too much for him.
      Consequently, in accordance with letter No. 326 dated 3 August 2026, we requested that the fundraising campaign be closed on the website of the charitable organisation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ – dobro.ua, to reduce the project amount on the Ukrainian Charity Exchange to the actual amount raised – 43,518.16 UAH (forty-three thousand five hundred and eighteen hryvnias, 16 kopecks), to transfer 1,890.90 UAH (one thousand eight hundred and ninety hryvnias, 90 kopecks) to our current account to cover project administration costs, and to allocate the remaining funds of 3,809.26 UAH (three thousand eight hundred and nine hryvnias, 26 kopecks) in accordance with the Rules, Principles and Procedures of the Charitable Organisation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’.
      The remaining funds, amounting to 1,890.90 UAH (one thousand eight hundred and ninety hryvnias, 90 kopecks), were used on 26 August 2026 to cover project administration costs.
      The incurring of administrative expenses and the preparation of financial statements required additional time due to difficulties in obtaining and properly processing the original supporting documents, linked to the security situation in the city. Consequently, the documents were received and processed later than planned, which affected the timing of the administrative expenditure and the submission of the final report.
      All funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have now been spent on the man’s needs.
