Medications that costs as a life

Most recently Valeria went to school, she grew and was a polite, smart, cheerful girl, but suddenly her health condition began to change terribly: she had disrupted coordination, and grayed out. After a child was tested by MRI scanner, doctors diagnosed the brain stem glioma. This is an inoperable tumor. The National Cancer Institute has put the girl on medication (radiotherapy course alongside with chemotherapy), for which the girl must take anticancer drug "Temodal", which is too expensive for the family to purchase it.

Aggressive tumor grew very quickly, and within days the child lost the most important vital functions. Dyachenko's family immediately came to Kalinin Donetsk Regional Hospital for assistance to stop this process. She began to be on chemo under the supervision of neurosurgeons, and radiotherapy courses in the regional center of anticancer.

The first two weeks Valeria became worse more and more every day: she stopped walking, sitting and holding her neck, could not chew and it's very hard to swallow for her, her speech was becoming less clear. All these were accompanied by severe pain and vomit. Being under the systems around the clock, but only in the middle of the course has appeared a small but very encouraging positive trend (resumed swallowing, neck muscles become stronger, the speech became more clear).

Despite the refusal of the Ukrainian and Russian doctors to operate Valeria, her family does not cease to send her medical documents to foreign clinics. Medical University of Berlin (Germany) gave hope. They are ready to accept a child for medical testing and operation. The cost of it at this clinis is 27 890 euro. Valeria has to depart immediately upon completion of the course in Donetsk (the end of May 2014) in time to save a child's life during remission. With great expectations Dyachenko family waits for a response from the well-known American clinic with great experience of such complex operations.

While waiting for a reply from clinic, Valeria undergoes difficult treatment in Donetsk hospital. Everyday chemistry procedures, medications and trainings with a physical therapist. The girl has to take anticancer drug "Temodal" to the end of radiotherapy. It is about 3-4 weeks. The cost of one package of it is 1 100 UAH. Valeria need just 10 packages of the medicine with the total cost 11 000 UAH.
