Maksym was born at 35 weeks of pregnancy. 4 hours after his birth, the boy was breathing on his own and then stopped. Doctors resuscitated the baby, but Maksym suffered oxygen deprivation, and later he had his first epileptic seizures.

For 6 years, the boy took anticonvulsants, which did not bring significant improvement, and in October 2023, Maksym underwent neurosurgery in Germany. Despite this, the boy's left side of his face, left arm and leg were paralyzed. Now Maksym does not speak, walks very poorly with the support of adults and does not take care of himself at all. The boy's medical record contains diagnoses such as congenital brain defects, symptomatic epilepsy, encephalopathy, spastic left-sided hemiplegia, neuropsychological developmental delay and attention deficit. But, in addition to medical treatment, Maksym needs rehabilitation to help improve his physical condition. That is why we are launching a fundraising campaign to pay for one course of treatment for Maksym at a specialized center. Please join in!
