Margaryta grew up just like her namesake flower: happy and active, full of love and joy. But one tragedy changed everything: the girl suddenly fell ill, began to have difficulty breathing, became weak, and lost her appetite. After a day of fighting for her life in intensive care, the cause of her illness was discovered: the child's blood sugar was five times higher than normal.
At ten months old, Margaryta was put on insulin. After each sugar measurement or insulin injection, the girl cried profusely. The child's sugar level often rose high or fell sharply. Because of this, her sugar had to be constantly monitored, and Margaryta's fingers were badly bruised.
Doctors advised the family to try sensors for continuous sugar level monitoring to stop the constant pain for the child and anxiety for the parents. However, these necessary devices are an unaffordable luxury for the family: they live in a village where it is difficult to find work, and both parents are sometimes forced to stay at home to care for their sick daughter. Philanthropists are helping to give Margaryta security and comfort by raising funds for these much-needed sensors. Help this girl not to lose her childhood so early!
