Little Daria is waiting for help. 2

Daria has been battling a disease called cerebral palsy for over two years. She is one of twins, born together with her sister at 31 weeks of pregnancy, weighing only 1.230 kg. Within a few days, her weight dropped to 950 grams. The little girl could not breathe on her own, so she spent the first five days of her life on a ventilator and then on a CPAP machine. For a long time, doctors struggled with critically low hemoglobin levels and apnea of prematurity, when a baby suddenly stops breathing.

After two months in intensive care, Daria was finally discharged home. But over time, it became apparent that she was significantly behind her twin sister in development. The girl had muscle hypertonicity and underwent constant massage and physical therapy, but progress was very slow. At 7 months, Daria still could not roll over and could not even hold her head up on her own. That was when the long road of constant rehabilitation began.

At 1 year and 3 months, doctors diagnosed her with spastic diplegia. Daria will turn 3 in the fall, but she still cannot sit or walk on her own and has delayed motor development. Fortunately, rehabilitation is improving the girl's condition:

"Even during the course of treatment, Daria showed positive changes: she began to take steps while holding my hand! She became more active and focused, and there were significant changes in her coordination", says the girl's mother.

Daria dreams of being healthy, and for this she needs constant treatment and regular classes at rehabilitation centers.
