Little girl dreaming of a big Goverlа!

llona’s dream may never come true. Her mom is raising four children alone. Her income can hardly cover such family expenses as food, clothes and treatment. A trip to the Carpathian Mountains, which includes fare, accommodation and food expenses, is pure luxury for Ilona’s family. However, we all can make Ilona’s as well as nine other little village dwellers’ dream come true. This big dream does not cost huge money, only 12,000 UAH.

This sum of money is going to cover only basic trip expenses as transportation and food. The rest of the expenses such as camping outfit, guides and trip organization will be financed by the Happy Child charity foundation. The foundation has been making such trips for little orphans as well as children from large and low-income families for ten years.

Little Ilona Eremenko lives in a tiny village of Limanovka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Her family consists of her mom and three brothers with a sister. Ilona loves travelling even though she has only been in the regional center – Zaporizhzhia and visited Khortitsa Island. This “travel” to most of us here is just a usual trip to work and back home but for little Ilona this has become an unforgettable event.

Little Ilona dreams of travelling around Ukraine, seeing its wonderful nature, meeting new people, learning traditions and new life.

Once Ilona watched a TV programme where she saw Hoverla Mountain – the pearl of the Ukrainian Carpathians. This part of Ukraine is pride and perfect holiday destination for many tourists from all over the world. Since then this little citizen of a tiny village imagines herself climbing the highest mountain of Ukraine.
