On October 14, 2025, the project “Matviy has a chance – let's help together” was posted on the platform of the International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’ dobro.ua for a total amount of UAH 265,090.00 for the treatment of Serhiy Matviy at the National Children's Specialized Hospital “OKHMATDIT.” The goal of the project was to raise funds for a boy with a complex diagnosis: "CNS VBR: massive arachnoid cyst of the cerebellar amygdala and cerebellopontine angle. Stenosis of the cerebral aqueduct. Internal occlusive hydrocephalus. Condition after ventriculoperitoneal shunting (May 30, 2025). Shunt system hyperdrainage syndrome. Subacute and chronic subdural hematomas over the right frontal and left frontal-parietal-temporal lobes." This condition posed a direct threat to the child's life and required surgical intervention in the brain. To save Matviychik, on November 24, 2025, doctors performed neurosurgery using special consumables. Matviy is currently under medical supervision and is recovering from surgery.

Specialized consumables were used during the operation:

External drainage kit - provides temporary drainage of cerebrospinal fluid from the ventricles of the brain to the outside.
Set of barium-impregnated catheters - required for safe fluid drainage and installation of the drainage system.
Programmable shunt system - provides continuous drainage of excess fluid from the brain, controls pressure by programming the valve, prevents fluid re-accumulation and hematoma formation.
Medtronic Navigation Inc. stylet (23 cm) - used for precise catheter placement, allowing the system to be positioned as accurately and safely as possible.
Medtronic Navigation Inc. patient tracker - allows surgeons to control the accuracy of movements at each stage of the operation.
Tracer pointer. Medtronic Navigation Inc. - a tool for spatial navigation in the brain.
Ventricular reservoir, lower inlet, 12 mm with 3 ventricular catheter, small, 23 cm - used to control cerebrospinal fluid.
These consumables are critical for performing complex neurosurgery, which saved Matviy's life.
