Matvii's mother says that her son is the greatest happiness of her life. However, this happiness came into being when the war began in her native land, in the East of Ukraine. During childbirth, Lisichansk doctors did not want to do a cesarean section to a woman, so the baby was born blue and was wrapped in an umbilical cord. The boy did not breathe, he had brain hypoxia.

After the birth, Matvii shouted all the time, he could not eat. The mother of the baby asked the doctors to examine her son, to which she was told that he had colic. After that, the woman took the boy to Lugansk. There he was diagnosed with cerebral edema, atrophy of the optic nerves, cerebral palsy, hypoplasia of the parietal and frontal lobes of the brain. However, active treatment a little helped the situation. Matvii even began to eat. But then a new sorrow came in their lives in Donbas the war began...

From the hospital, Matvii and his mother were discharged, they had to live in a village where there was no infrastructure: no stores, no pharmacies, no hospitals. Only there was an opportunity, and the transport started to move, they moved to Kharkiv. Then mother decided to start treating her son and undergoing rehabilitation courses. Before the first course of treatment the boy did not live, did not overturn, did not speak and did not go.

Recently, Matvii has already passed the second course of rehabilitation in the Center for Brain Stimulation. And you will not believe, but after him the boy began to walk on his own, without support, to walk around the apartment! Can you imagine? The boy became more independent, his emotional and physical state improved, he became stronger.

In order not to lose this dynamic and to move to recovery, the boy needs to continue treatment and rehabilitation in the Center. However, for an orphan mother, who brings up her son alone, this is not an easy task. She has no money for a new course, so she again appeals to the UBB Donors: "Help Matvii be healthy!".
