Little Matviy needs medicines every day

Twenty-four years... That’s how long little Matviy’s mother was waiting to give birth to her child. The boy was born prematurely and, unfortunately, it led to numerous health problems including brain hemorrhage which further caused hydrocephalus. Little Matviy had been struggling against his diseases for a year and it seemed that the bright horizon was near but no – problems again.

The boy has an inflammation, that’s why the shunt system had to be removed and drainage had to be inserted. Now little Matviy’s mother spends a lot of money on medicines and medical materials. She is a single mother, so she doesn’t have much support. The woman asks all people who are not indifferent to help save her son.

Little Matviy is a very long-awaited child. His mother was waiting so that he was born prematurely which led to complications. At first the boy was on a medical ventilator, and then he had a brain hemorrhage with hydrocephalus as its consequence. Later a shunt system was inserted. Within a period of less than two months the shunt got clogged up.

Once again the boy’s life was hospitals, tests and medications. An infection, a virus was detected. Months of treatment began… It seemed successful. The boy’s mother started actively rehabilitation. After the first cycle of treatment the boy began to keep the head. Joy knew no bounds but it was short-lived as soon the baby got back to the hospital. The shunt system was removed because of new infection. Now it must be treated and then a new shunt is required.

Every day the mother has to buy a lot of medicines and medical materials because they are not available at the hospital. It is in addition to diapers, foods... The boy’s mother strains herself to a breaking point but their resources are completely exhausted.
