Matviyko strives to learn to walk. Stage 2

The second course of rehabilitation in RC "Apis Melifica" is over for Matviy. He has become stronger, his back became straighter and smoother, his left arm started working, which used to be moveless, he now can lay on his belly, leaning on hands and sit in a pose of "lotus" up to two minutes. It is possible to count Matviy's age by the number of rehabilitation courses, and it seems like his life has been full of these courses and centers. In order to catch up with the peers, he requires the continuous monthly rehabilitation courses.

While his peers already run, play and are getting ready for the kindergarten, little Matviy has gone through a lot of difficulties in his age to get the same skills. 

Seven rehabilitation course in RC "Elita" in Lviv, 12 rehabilitation courses in RC "Apis Melifika" in Khmelnitskij, visiting the pool, osteopath, skating classes, acupuncture, speech therapy sessions and defectology, constant massage and exercises at home between courses. From his very birth Matviy's life has been a total rehabilitation and exercises with the special doctors and teachers. And all of that is the fault of negligence of doctors who, during pregnancy, did not notice the severe pathology of the heart of the boy, - because of that two intrauterine strokes happened, damaging the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Bleeding in the brain damaged boy's eyesight, and bound him for movement, language, and caused strokes.

On the 5th day of his life, Matviy underwent the surgery on the heart in the center of cardiology and cardiac surgery in Kyiv (critical coarctation of the aorta). The doctors spoke of terrible diagnosis for the boy, though being terrible, these diagnosis were correct - so he had minimal chances. But regardless of them the boy is living, growing and developing.

Due to the fact that Matviy needs constant monthly rehabilitation, and family resources have been exhausted, we collect funds immediately into four rehabilitation courses for the boy.
