Furniture for people in crisis among internally displaced persons»

The Khmelnytsky region is far from the contact line, and it is possible to live a quiet, peaceful life here, although there are frequent arrivals and explosions. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, IDPs from different parts of eastern and southern Ukraine have been moving here. Most of the IDPs in Khmelnytskyi rent accommodation, others stay with relatives, and some have been placed in abandoned rural houses that need both repairs and furniture to create decent living conditions. It is in the latter that IDPs from the most vulnerable categories of the population, the elderly, and people with disabilities live. We are talking about those who are simply physically unable to take care of themselves, improve their lives, earn money or at least do something to avoid living in devastation and poverty.

With the funds raised through this project, we plan to buy furniture and equip homes for 15 of our elderly IDPs who have settled in Khmelnytsky and are forced to live out their lives here. They have nowhere to go back to, as their homes and all their belongings were destroyed by the russian invaders.

In total, we need to raise UAH 60,000 to help these lonely single people, frail elderly and disabled IDPs live in dignity, so that their everyday life does not seem so miserable.
