The purpose of the project was to raise funds for the treatment of Krystal Ivan, who is being treated in the children's department of the National Cancer Institute. Ivan has a rare type of cancer - a malignant formation of the nasopharynx. Unfortunately, the rarer the diagnosis, the more difficult it is to find an effective treatment method. The guy underwent chemotherapy, the tumor was reduced by 30 percent, but it was very little. Doctors of the National Cancer Institute have a successful experience in using MIBG therapy. That is, treatment with doses of radioactive iodine. In Ukraine, it is held only for adults. And this is precisely Ivan's case: his diagnosis requires an adult approach to treatment. The cost of isotopes is quite high, especially in modern conditions of war. The family asked for help. Thanks to the collected funds, the bill was paid on time and the child received the necessary treatment in early October. Now we are waiting for the results of examinations to understand the effectiveness of the isotope treatment. The medical product was received by the patient according to the receipt dated September 19, 2023.
