The saint Nicholas for kids from poor families

Do you believe in miracles?... Ask this question any child and you 100% will hear “YES”. Ask this question a person who believe in God and you will hear the same answer. In many countries of the world you can hear about St. Nikolas and about his special Holyday.

People say that on the eve before the Holyday St. Nikolas is working: baking sweet “stars” for children. These “stars” getting into the St. Nikolas' bag are becoming alike to their master, that’s why the holyday cakes which children get on this day, are called “Little St. Nikolases”.

Here in Ukraine we have a stable tradition that if a child behaved himself well he gets sweets, but if he did not – he will get punishment.
We are sure that children cannot be bad… bad can be the conditions in which they were grown up. That’s why every child deserves his own sweet “Little St. Nikolas”.

Ukrainian Charity Fund “Social Partnership” in the St. Nikolas Day organizes a holyday dinner for little children from low-income families who live under the poverty line. A Holyday atmosphere in dressed Charity Children Canteen and a special dinner with cakes and gifts will bring colors grey sad days of these poor children and will rise their faith in the real miracles.

For this Holyday become real Fund “Social Partnership” launches a fundraising project to buy 60 sweet “Little St. Nikolases” and products for cooking a Holyday dinner. Total amount is 6 594 UAH.

St. Nikolas on the eve of his Holyday reminds us about a wonderful possibility of each of us to make miracles, about forgiveness and mercy, hope and God's help. About that our hearts are full of kind feelings not only because we receive presents but also because we give them to other people.
