Myron needs support

Myron's difficulties began as soon as he was born – the boy was delivered by caesarean section. From the very first month of his life, the boy was constantly plagued by illnesses – pneumonia, bronchitis, and viral infections prevented him from even attending kindergarten properly. At four and a half years old, the child was hospitalized in serious condition, where the real cause of his constant illnesses was discovered: type 1 diabetes, a severe form.

At the age of six, Myron began attending kindergarten – his mother arranged with a nurse for insulin injections. The boy almost finished kindergarten, but with the start of a full-scale invasion, the woman and her son left the country. Upon his return, Myron finally went to first grade, where he learned to inject himself with insulin. The first year was difficult for the child, both in terms of his studies and in terms of how those around him perceived and understood his illness. Myron's education was not easy: in order to help the child catch up in his studies, it was necessary to hire tutors, which required time, money, and effort from a child exhausted by illness and vital responsibilities.

Myron's parents are divorced, and his mother is the sole breadwinner for the family. Her salary as a sales representative is not always enough to cover the costs of school, housing, food, medical treatment, and clothing. Myron receives some medications for free, including insulin. But he almost constantly needs to take vitamins, undergo courses of medication, and undergo examinations – all at his own expense. And the only thing that remains an unfulfilled wish is sensors for monitoring sugar levels, which would eliminate the need to prick the child's fingers dozens of times a day.
