I dream of recovering and treating children!

Sasha is a kind girl, always willing to help others. Her big dream is to grow up and become a surgeon to save the lives of children who are with her in the oncology department. Unfortunately, Sasha now needs help herself as she is undergoing treatment for an aggressive disease – cancer. The tumor has affected her delicate hand and has taken away her ability to even enjoy her favorite pastime – decoupage.

Oleksandra has been fighting the disease for a year now. Last summer she felt pain in her shoulder. At that time, the mother and child were in Lviv, where the girl underwent examination and was diagnosed with osteomyelitis. However, conservative treatment proved ineffective. Following further examination, a biopsy, and a definitive diagnosis – Ewing’s sarcoma – a malignant formation in the bone tissue – were established. Further treatment takes place in Kyiv, at the National Cancer Institute.

Sasha has already come a long and difficult way, and now there is a need to undergo surgery for the installation of an endoprosthesis to replace the affected bone in her shoulder. The cost of the endoprosthesis exceeds 130 thousand hryvnias. An ordinary Ukrainian family after a difficult year of treatment cannot cope with such expenses on their own.
