Let's feed animals in shelters on the border!

Within the first tranche, 112 bags (1680 kg) of dog food were purchased and delivered to shelters: NGO “Dobropillia ZOO-CITY” (Dobropillia, Donetsk Oblast), CO “Get a Friend” (Fontanka, Odesa Oblast), CF “No Borders” (Slyvyno, Mykolaiv Oblast), NGO “Public Legal Initiative” (Dobropillia, Donetsk Oblast), NGO “ALF” (Zaporizhzhia), NGO “Vuhastystyky-Puhnastyky” (Zaporizhzhia). There have been changes in the fodder procurement plan, because from the moment we applied for the placement of the project, the situation has worsened a lot - in those regions where we have now purchased fodder, it has become catastrophic, and therefore we have redirected the available resources there.

We also received humanitarian food earlier and managed to transfer it to shelters in Sumy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions, so we decided to help Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions, which are also border areas. In the shelters in the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions there is a large number of evacuated animals from the border regions, which also badly needed help.

In the Kharkiv region, the situation is now so difficult that we cannot transfer fodder there yet, but we really hope that we will be able to do it from the second tranche of funds under this project. Unfortunately, the situation is really so unpredictable that we are forced to change course along the way in order to support those shelters that have fallen into very difficult conditions.

The second tranche was spent on the purchase of 72 bags (780 kg) of dog food, which was delivered to the shelters: NGO "Hope for a Home" (Zdolbuniv, Rivne region), NGO "Mudra Ryba" (Kharkiv), NGO "Sumy Society for Assistance to Stray Animals "RIGHT TO LIFE" (Sumy).
