Best Gift is Snizhana’s Health

My name is Olga Modina. I am a journalist. After 2 weeks, on July 14th, I will celebrate my 28th birthday. This is the age when you still believe in magic and you can become a magician for somebody.

When I was little, I waited for every birthday and dreamed that I would get a puppy that day. I will play with him, go for a walk, train him... and this is how I imagined a happy childhood that every child should have. But it turned out that some children dreamed of life without drugs and surgeries, without permanent CT, MRI, IV...

And just to be at home instead of staying at the hospital for months. Little Snizhana is now receiving treatment at the Institute of Neurosurgery A. P. Romodanov. The girl is 4 years old. And during this time she had already had more than 40 surgeries. She has hydrocephalus (excess fluid in the cranial cavity). The little girl is in fact living in hospitals instead of playing and running with her sister (they are twins) and other children in the street. I’m not a doctor to perform necessary procedures and save Snizhana;

I am not a philanthropist to fully fund the girl’s treatment. The cost of treatment is 50 000 UAH. However, I know that all of us can be a bit of magician, that’s why I hope that together we will be able to raise the necessary amount and give a chance for the four-year old Snizhana to get well.

I am sure that the raised money and then the successful treatment will be the best birthday gifts.
