Thirty-five-year-old Oksana has been suffering from type 1 diabetes since she was nine years old. Despite all those painful years of learning to control the disease, it still takes over. Due to hemorrhages behind the retina and its detachment, Oksana had to undergo 4 eye surgeries in a year to save her eyesight. And after losing consciousness due to hypoglycemia, she broke the tibia of her right leg in the fall, and the second time, in the spring, she broke the fibula. Titanium plates had to be installed on both, which required two more surgeries.
However, Oksana does not let constant complications, surgeries and illnesses deprive her of her faith and joy of life. Despite all this, she has a wonderful family: her beloved husband and three darling children consider their mom stronger than any superhero. Special sensors can help a woman avoid accidents caused by unexpected changes in her blood sugar levels that go unnoticed until it's too late. But no matter how boundless the family's love and support is, the family's finances are unfortunately very limited: Oksana, barely out of maternity leave, is on another sick leave, and only her husband is working steadily.
For more than 25 years, this incredibly strong woman has had to rely on luck to be able to live - help her finally feel that long-forgotten confidence in the future!
