"Mom, we are so weird. We’re going to the conservatory, and we'll do MRI along the way", these are the words of ten-year-old Misha. Between the conservatory and the hospitals his whole life passes. A talented boy plays the piano and sings in the choir. In the meantime, he stands during the performance of the composition, his mother prays that he will not feel ill and that he does not fall. Misha has a rare disease, he has already undergone 11 operations, and in June and September two more are required. For the next operation in Germany you need to find UAH 483 330.

10 years ago little Misha was born 483 330 грн and from the first day, tremendous anxiety went hand in hand with maternal happiness. All of Misha’s left leg was covered with a blue net of vessels. It was not only doctors who had to rummage through medical guides, but also mom, the disease was very rare. The diagnosis was clarified, changed, and now Misha’s statements indicate: lymphohemangiomatous venous malformation of the left leg, lumbar region and retroperitoneal space. The veins in these areas are constantly growing, intertwining, unifying. As a result, when the child is standing, a huge amount of blood appears in the leg, while the brain, heart, liver are not supplied enough. Misha lives with regularly exacerbating thrombosis, bleeding disorders, dysplasia of the femur and tibia.

But the worst process that is happening now is the destruction of the knee joint. From the knee cavity, the vessels sprouted into the cartilaginous tissue. You need to operate the knee to save the joint. But surgical intervention threatens such serious blood loss that first, you need to remove part of the vascular clusters. Ukrainian surgeons do not have experience with such pathologies, so the doctors of the University Hospital of the city of Haale will take care of Misha, as before. The operation on the vessels will be carried out in June, the operation on the knee – in September. 

Misha loves sports, is eager to go to school despite his poor health. But his real love is music. He studies at a music school at the Dnieper Conservatory, loves his teachers and staff. At home, he learns compositions, searches for new notes and makes music with such passion that is difficult to expect from a ten-year-old boy. And she’s terribly upset when plans have to be canceled: sometimes Misha just can’t stand, walk or sit, he has to lie with his raised leg all day and endure pain.

It is very difficult for the boy to bear inaction, he flatly refuses to use a cane, asks his parents to give him a little independence and freedom. Mom leaves Misha at school, leaves, and soon they call her: Misha became ill, turned pale, lay down. And the compression underwear which the child constantly wears does not save from pain and weakness. A very large part of the family budget: drugs, examinations, rehabilitation. A set of compression underwear in the fall cost $ 890. But in any case, they cannot afford to collect 17 901 euros for the operation. Let's help Misha keep her ability to move around herself!
