Let’s not allow problems to grow with Misha

Again our unique Misha needs help. He is unique not only for his rare disease, but also for the amazing strength of spirit and the ability to enjoy life in spite of difficulties. There are a lot of difficulties: edema, pain, long healings on the legs, bleeding right through the pores on the skin. These are just symptoms, and there are a number of really serious threats. To remove for the near future from the boy the risk of embolism, a stroke, a heart attack, in the summer he needs to undergo an operation in a German clinic.

But let’s start from the beginning. 8-year-old Misha has very serious congenital pathology: a lymphatic venous malformation. This means that the veins of the left leg, pelvis, retroperitoneal space are constantly growing uncontrollably, interweave, form vascular clusters. What are the consequences of this process? In a vertical position, a huge amount of blood moves to the limb that means that the heart, brain, liver, and other organs are not sufficiently supplied. Misha lives with a chronic thrombosis, bleeding disorder, dysplasia of the femoral and tibia. The knee joint began to disintegrate – in order to save it, Misha underwent three operations in Germany. If not to limit the growth of blood vessels, every week the threat of embolism, hemorrhages in the heart or brain is increasing.

As we already mentioned, Misha is an amazing boy. He bravely endures the routine associated with the disease: taking medications, wearing compression linen, constantly monitoring of blood pressure and indicators, imminent edema and pain. Misha is a talented, athletic and active child. He does acrobatics and swimming. In September, he entered the first level of the Dnieper Conservatory, studying in the choir and piano class! Every time he is looking forward to school and to all the extra classes. But during the week there are necessarily days when the planned plan has to be postponed: painful seals are found on the leg, or he blood begins to ooze through the skin between toes - another vascular burst. And then the music and the pool are canceled – and the child must to lie all day with a raised leg and cooling compresses. Do you know what Misha is doing then? He is singing. Mom says that he is ready to sing all day, so even sometimes she wants to find a button-switch.

For more than 3 years we have known Misha. You collected money for him for surgery on the vessels and the knee joint in Germany. Now the boy needs our help again. In June, parents again take their son to Germany to the same surgeon – to remove vascular clusters - the largest and most dangerous "rolls" of veins. Ukrainian doctors cannot help Misha - too delicate operation, fraught with heavy bleeding. Its cost in the university clinic in Halle is 12447 euros. Parents are not able to find such means without our support.

"These operations are necessary for Misha to live, that he is not threatened with a heart attack, or a stroke, that joints and bones do not destroy, says his mother.  We just cannot stop on this way, you know?". We believe that you will support the boy again!
