Volodymyr is 15 years old. He is a 10th-grade student, has many friends, and loves spending time with his younger brother and sister. Volodia always helps at home, supports his parents, and dreams of an active life without pain.
His greatest passions are repairing equipment, playing basketball, and riding motorcycles. But all of this is currently forbidden. Due to a serious spinal condition, Volodymyr has to wear a medical brace all the time. Without it, his leg barely functions – a pinched nerve causes severe pain and weakness. The family has tried injections, medications, and multiple medical examinations, but this is no longer enough.
Volodymyr’s vertebrae have shifted and are pressing on the nerves. He urgently needs surgery to install special plates to stabilize his spine. If delayed, the consequences can be severe: constant pain, numbness in the legs, limited mobility, and even dysfunction of internal organs.
It was no longer possible to delay the operation; the situation was critical, so we agreed with the suppliers of consumables to receive them in advance and defer payment. On January 14, Volodymyr underwent surgery and spinal correction, but the plates still need to be paid for.
The cost of the surgical materials is 106,000 UAH. For a family where the father works as a construction worker and the mother is on maternity leave, this amount is overwhelming. They are now forced to ask for help and sincerely believe in our shared compassion and support.
Friends, let’s help Volodymyr stop the progression of his illness and return to a life without pain. Every donation is a chance for him to run again, play basketball, and simply be a teenager.
