13-years-old Dima Melnik is the only child for his mother. He was growing an active and inquisitive child, but in the spring of 2013 all the dreams of this young player were just gone. Dmytro played football, he took part in different competitions. He used to love football which he played until the last day of trainings, when he began to complain about the weakness in his body. A blood test showed the hemoglobin's very low. After the tests the boy was diagnosed acquired aplastic anemia, and he vitally needs BMT.

As a result of the survey which was taken in the Odessa Regional Hospital the doctors diagnosed him with the 3rd germ aplastic anemia (the severe form).

Two courses of the special treatment led to no positive result. In September 2014 Dima was examined in the Republican Center for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology in the Republic of Belarus and the results showed that in the context of aplastic anemia the acute monoblastic leukemia was rapidly progressing. Which aggravated the situation very much. By that moment the child was living at the expense of someone else's blood and platelets. He felt worse and worse.

The only chance to save the baby is a bone marrow transplantation (BMT) from an unrelated donor which costs  160 000 EUR. Parents are just unable to collect such exorbitant ammount. And there's almost no time to find this money as the blasts are growing very fast. While the liver and other organs have not been damaged we need to act! Being only 13 years old he already knows a lot: he knows the severity of his illness and he really wants to live, and he hopes for recovery. Through tears Dima asks just one question: "For how long can I live like that, when will the transplantation be done?.. Please...".

Bone marrow does not produce bodies that are so needed for a boy, so Dmytro's blood counts results falling down. He can die if values fall to a critical point.

Dear donors, this child is waiting for your help! Let your heart overflows with compassion and desire to help!
