Arming Aryna against Crohn's disease

      In 2014, six-year-old Arina watched from her window as rockets destroyed Donetsk Airport. Extensive work with a psychologist following her move to Pavlohrad helped to alleviate the impact of these traumatic memories. In 2022, Arina’s panic attacks returned. And in 2024, she suddenly developed intestinal bleeding. Following examinations, she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease.
      In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the Charitable Organisation International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the Charitable Aid Operator Charitable Foundation ‘Pomagayem’ dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21.300 dated 20 February 2025, the project ‘Arm Arina against Crohn’s disease’ was launched on the website dobro.ua with the aim of raising charitable donations to cover the cost of Arina Piddubna’s treatment.
      The initial fundraising target was 171,284.00 UAH (one hundred and seventy-one thousand two hundred and eighty-four UAH, 00 kopecks). During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the Charitable Organisation International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” – dobro.ua – to purchase medicines for the girl.       Therefore, in accordance with letters No. 132 dated 25 March 2025, No. 168 dated 28 April 2025 and No. 401 dated 5 August 2025, we received the collected amounts of 17,000.00 UAH (seventeen thousand hryvnias, 00 kopecks), 16,000.00 UAH (sixteen thousand hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and 13,100.00 UAH (thirteen thousand one hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued fundraising on the dobro.ua platform. 
      In 2025, we purchased the vital ‘Humira’ injections and Nutricia Fortini enteral nutrition for Arina, totalling 42,900.00 UAH (forty-two thousand nine hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks).

      Once the full amount required to cover the girl’s treatment had been raised on two fundraising platforms—the Ukrainian Charity Exchange and the Pomagayem Charitable Foundation— we requested that the fundraising campaign be closed, that the project amount on the UBB be reduced to the actual amount raised of 100,254.65 UAH (one hundred thousand two hundred and fifty-four hryvnias, 65 kopecks), and to transfer the remaining funds – 57,354.65 UAH (fifty-seven thousand three hundred and fifty-four hryvnias, 65 kopecks) – to our bank account to cover the girl’s treatment and project administration, in accordance with letter No. 76 dated 19 February 2026.
      In March of this year, we provided Arina with Humira injections and Nutricia Fortini specialised nutrition worth 17,948.00 UAH (seventeen thousand nine hundred and forty-eight hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and in April – to the sum of 34,393.92 UAH (thirty-four thousand three hundred and ninety-three hryvnias, 92 kopecks). We also paid for the project administration.
      Arina’s condition has gradually stabilised thanks to the caring support and essential help of all those who care. Enteral nutrition is having a positive effect on her well-being, alleviating symptoms and giving her strength. It used to be harder for her — frequent bouts of weakness and discomfort sapped her energy and made daily life difficult.
      Now Arina has found more inner strength to return to her usual activities, studies and spending time with loved ones. She feels more confident and is gradually beginning to allow herself to worry not only about her health, but also about other matters close to her heart.

      It is very important for the young woman to feel supported, as this gives her a sense of security and understanding, and helps her to cope with difficulties emotionally. She is sincerely grateful for the help and support she has received.
      At present, all the funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have been spent on the young woman’s needs.
