Overcoming the disease

Determined and energetic, Nazar has been practicing judo at a professional level for almost four years. Sport for him is not just a passion – it is a part of life, a reflection of his character and strength of spirit.
Two years ago, Nazar was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (insulin-dependent). In an instant, everything turned upside down: hospitals, constant injections, blood sugar monitoring. A new reality he had to adapt to. Yet despite everything, this illness did not break him – on the contrary, it made him stronger. Still so young, yet already so mature and courageous.
That year was etched into the family's memory forever. Shortly before the diagnosis, Nazar had contracted COVID-19, which may have been one of the contributing factors in the development of the disease. The constant stress of air raid alerts, shelters, and explosions also leaves its mark on a child's health. The exact cause was never determined, as no one in the family had ever had diabetes.
Despite everything, Nazar continues to train, compete, and live an active life. Continuous monitoring sensors have been a great help in this. But sport and physical exertion often cause sharp fluctuations in blood sugar levels, particularly dangerous hypoglycemic episodes. That is why continuous glucose monitoring is not merely a convenience – it is a vital necessity.
Coming to terms with his illness is still difficult for Nazar. But his family is by his side. His father's conversations, his mother's support and help managing his diabetes, and evenings spent with his brother – these are his anchors in life.
We all believe that one day a cure for this disease will be found. But today, the best help available is continuous monitoring sensors, which allow him to live more safely and avoid complications.
We ask you to support Nazar in purchasing monitoring sensors.
