Vania's first step

The parents-to-be were waiting for the birth of twins. However, at the 28th week of pregnancy, one baby froze in the mother's womb, which led to premature birth. Ivan was born by caesarean section, his weight was 1,610 grams, he did not scream and did not breathe on his own... Vania was immediately transferred to the intensive care unit and connected to a ventilator. For two whole weeks, the apparatus helped him breathe.

Premature Vania was diagnosed with a perinatal CNS impression and cerebral hemorrhage. After resuscitation, the boy was transferred to the department of pathology of premature babies, where for the next two months of little Vania's life, he was given droppers and treated for congenital pneumonia.

Now Ivan is 4 years old, and he suffers from cerebral palsy, salvage quadriplegia and delayed mental and linguistic development. The boy also has convergent squint and epiativity. Vania cannot walk on his own, he sits with a support, the boy has only recently begun to crawl. But thanks to constant studies with a speech therapist and a psychologist, Ivan began to speak.

The boy's treatment cannot be stopped, because the slightest interruption leads to the return of spasticity and the loss of all previously acquired skills and abilities. If earlier the Klets family tried to cope with the costs of Vanya's treatment on their own, then after 4 years of tireless struggle for the boy's health, their finances have completely dried up. We really want Vanya to stand on his feet and take his first step, so we are starting to raise funds for a new rehabilitation course for the boy.
