Oleksandra has been treated by her mother since she was two years old. The girl was born a healthy child, but later something strange began to happen to her – Oleksandra began to lose consciousness for a short time. Oleksandra's great-grandmother was the first to notice. The worried parents took their daughter to the doctors. The blood test left no doubt, the girl was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, severe form. It was hard to accept, because Oleksandra was a completely healthy child. Two weeks in the hospital, drips, insulin, learning to live with diabetes, a gluten-free diet. Oleksandra, like a little warrior, bravely takes insulin injections. Before diabetes, it turned out that Oleksandra had poor eyesight, and now she studies with glasses. The girl was also diagnosed with intestinal problems.
Oleksandra is a talented girl. She draws, sculpts from plasticine, cuts out various figures, loves to study at school, but most of all she loves the subject of fine arts. The girl loves all kinds of animals: cats, dogs, hamsters, chinchillas. She has a chinchilla named Snizhynka, which she takes care of with pleasure. The girl also has a brother and sister. It so happened that this family has another child with a disability. This is Oleksandra's older brother, Artem. Her mother is raising three children, two of whom have disabilities.
Oleksandra now has an insulin pump, which makes her life much easier. From time to time, her mother also buys her continuous glucose monitoring sensors. The girl's life began to improve gradually, because over the previous 7 years of illness, the girl's fingers were completely chipped by countless sugar measurements. However, it is difficult for the family to cope with all the financial costs of Oleksandra's treatment on their own. Therefore, the mother asks for help with the cost of insulin pump consumables, which are very expensive.
