Support for people affected by war

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, one of the main directions of our Foundation's work has been the support of people affected by the war and internally displaced persons. The goal of this project is to provide 10 shelters in different regions of Ukraine, where people who have been forced to leave their homes live. All of them are residents of Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Mykolaiv regions. Some of them don't even know if they still have a home, and some have completely lost it. Ordinary peaceful people were left with nothing: women with children, old women, people with disabilities... lost everything in one day. The care of these people fell on the shoulders of the state, as well as charitable organizations.

In the conditions of rapid response to the situation, people were settled in dormitories on the basis of educational institutions, health sanatoriums, social rehabilitation centers, as well as in specially created shelters. These conditions are close to living conditions, but they were not ready for such a flow of people. The needs of shelters are endless, as this island of safety operates 24/7 and is constantly accepting new residents. The most common needs at the moment are products, basic necessities, household appliances, generators, gas generators, charging stations, educational materials and equipment for children, baby food, etc.

By providing 10 shelters with essentials, we will be able to help approximately 1,000 people. As part of the project, we plan to help shelters in Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Lviv, Ternopil, Zakarpattia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Rivne, and Khmelnytskyi regions. According to the study "Children and War", as of February 2023, more than 50% of displaced families cannot find work in a new place, 36% have problems with housing, 34% have an acute problem with warm things, and therefore need our support.

We are sure that only in unity and support of each other will we win.

*As of December 2023, the funds collected under the project amount to UAH 188,480. 50 kopecks we have already been able to help children in the "Recovery Camp" camp (Lviv), internally displaced persons in a shelter on the basis of the OLC "Rovesnyk" (Lviv region), a shelter on the basis of the Poltava ecological and naturalistic center "Ekolog" (Poltava region), a shelter from the NGO "Open Hearts" in Vinnytsia.
