Kyryl is a cheerful five-year-old boy. He has always been very active, sociable, and restless, until everything changed due to a serious illness that he has been battling for over two years – type 1 diabetes.
At the age of 3, Kyryl began to tire quickly, drink a lot of water, frequently ask to use the toilet, and become lethargic. His parents realized that something was wrong and took him to the doctors. The boy was immediately admitted to intensive care, where he spent two days. Then he spent more than three weeks in the hospital: IVs, catheters, tests, and learning how to live with this disease – injecting insulin, counting bread units, monitoring his condition. It was difficult to accept, but the family is learning to live with diabetes.
To effectively control his sugar levels, Kyryl desperately needs sensors to measure his glucose levels. Such devices will significantly improve his quality of life and help him avoid dangerous sugar spikes and complications in the future. The family has purchased them before, but unfortunately, their cost is simply prohibitive for them. Help Kyryl not lose his childhood to disease!
